  • The Policies and Procedures Library manual has been created for the college of medicine to bring together in one convenient location policies and procedures affecting many areas of the college’s programs and functions. This manual is intended to serve as a resource that can be easily revised and updated as the need occurs.

  • The QUCOM Policies and Procedures Library is structured in two major volumes: 1. Academic Policies; and 2. University Hospital Policies. Each volume is divided into chapters. Chapters represent the general topics that encompass many individual policies. For example, the chapter “Student Services” includes policies dealing with student services, for example, student admissions, leaves and student misconduct. Policies are, thus, subdivisions of chapters. Each policy, that have been through the formal “development process of the college Policy Management System”, has its own page on the library.

  • Each policy has a definite ID formed of four digits: 1.2.03-01; where the first digit denotes the volume (Academic/University Hospital); the second digit denotes the chapter where the policy belongs; the third digit is a specific serial number given to each policy, and finally the fourth and last digit denotes the version of the policy (-01: first version, -02: second version following amendments,..).

  • The Academic volume of the QUCOM Policies and Procedures Library is divided into four chapters:
